Good afternoon, dear readers! I hope you are staying cool out there! It has been HOT HOT HOT in Arizona the past few days, and I feel like I have been melting. We're expecting some rain this week just in time for the Fourth of July, so there probably won't be any fireworks for me this year. If it means cooler weather, bring it on!!
For today's post, I wanted to share these silver nail stickers from Born Pretty Store. Check them out:
I used Sation Super Nail-tural Powers as a base and then added the stickers on top. They were advertised to stick well on their own, but sadly that was not the case for me. In spite of using tweezers to press them down, there were a couple edges that refused to lay flat on my nails. In an effort to keep them in place as well as smooth the nails down, I added a coat of HK Girl top coat. That, dear readers, was NOT a good idea. Super Nail-tural Powers is a cream polish, and you can see in my pictures where the top coat pulled the silver off of the stickers and over the polish. I didn't realize this at first, and I was not pleased to discover that I now have fine silver particles in my favorite top coat. I believe most of it stuck to the brush, and I was able to wipe most of it away.
I'm not really sure how I feel about these stickers. They are cute, but the lack of sticking power in addition to flaking off with top coat was really disappointing. If you are interested in trying them out for yourself, here is the direct link to the item. They have a few other patterns to choose from, and they really are quite cute!
Be sure to keep Born Pretty Store for all your nail art needs! They have so many options to choose from! You can also save 10% by using the discount code QWL91.
Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful day!
