Good morning, dear readers, and happy Monday! I hope you enjoyed your weekend and this week is off to a wonderful start. Some Mondays I just get a "case of the Monday" blahs, but today is off to a positive start. It's a great way to start the week, and I hope this trend continues!
To get the week going, I wanted to share the upcoming The Name is Everything collection by LynBDesigns. This mini collection is actually part of a series of Harry Potter inspired collections Jennalyn will be releasing throughout the summer! There is so much to be inspired by in the series, and I really like that she broke this up into smaller collections; it certain will help keep the wallet from hurting all in one fatal swoop! Let's check out the first set!
Three coats with Gelous plus Top Coat
Red crelly with red, orange, yellow, white and black glitters
Have I said lately how much I love red crelly polishes? If not, let me say it now! While I'm not the biggest fan of red cremes, I cannot seem to get enough of these red crellies filled with glitters! I really like the colour combination used in this polish, and I even liked the little bar glitters that were added to the mix. The application was pretty easy as well- the glitters spread nicely, and the bars weren't too difficult either. This does dry to a rather textured finish because of all the glitters, so I added a coat of gelous to help get my nails smoothed out before adding top coat for shine.
Greatness and Ambition
Green crelly with silver, grey, green, red and purple glitters
Greatness and Ambition is my personal favorite from this mini collection. From the beautiful base colour to the glitters, it was love at first site when I opened up my mail and saw this bottle. If you can only have one bottle from this mini collection, this is the one I recommend the most. The application was easy with this beauty as well! Like the rest of this mini collection, it does dry to a textured finish so you will either need to use a few coats of topcoat or a coat of gelous to help smooth your nails down.
Kindness and Justice
Grey crelly with black, white, silver, gold and gold holo glitters
I'm afraid to say my swatch photos just do not do this lovely polish justice. I quite like this colour combination, but unfortunately grey doesn't seem to like me very much. I am especially taken with the silver shards that are part of this glitter mix! The application was easy, even with the shards, and the glitters spread nicely across my nails. Again, this is a multi-top coat or gelous plus top coat polish.
Curiosity and Knowledge
Blue crelly loaded with blue and bronze microglitter, black and white glitters
I have been drawn to blue polishes lately, so this is another favorite from the collection. What sets Curiosity and Knowledge apart from the rest of the collection is that it is so packed with microglitters! The microglitters are punctuated with larger glitters and very well balanced. Like the others, the application was easy and the glitters dispersed perfectly over my nails. A coat of gelous and top coat smoothed my nails out nicely.
I am really happy to see a Harry Potter collection from LynB Designs, and I am especially thrilled to see them in the form of glitter-packed crellies! This mini-collection is a great alternative to the neon polish trend we've been seeing already this season.
The LynB Designs The Name is Everything collection is scheduled to launch on June 19th; that's this Friday! The polishes will be available for purchase at the LynB Designs Etsy shop located here. You will want to follow LynB Designs on Facebook here for a set launch time in addition to other shop announcements. I have the other Harry Potter-inspired mini collections to share with you, and they will be popping up here on my blog as it gets closer to their individual launch dates.
What do you think of this mini collection? What polish is your favorite? I'd love to hear from you!
Until next time, dear readers, have a great day!
