Happy Friday, dear readers, and what a Friday it is! The weather has been getting warmer and the sun has been out more this week, and it's going to be a gorgeous weekend around here! I know I'll be spending a good bit of time outdoors soaking up the sun, after slathering on the sunscreen of course. I'll be sure to enjoy it extra for those of you that are surrounded by all that snow and wishing you were here!
Today's post blog concludes my reveals for the custom polishes made for my 4th blogiversary. In case you are just now tuning in, I partnered up with four different indie nail polish brands and collaborated with each of them to create a shade in celebration. I have already shared my customs with Fair Maiden Polish, Girly Bits Cosmetics, and Literary Lacquers, and today I am sharing my custom with Ellagee. This was my first time collaborating with Laura, the creative mastermind behind the brand, and it was a wonderful experience! I gave her my ideas that I had in mind as well as a photo to help get the colour I had in mind, and she totally nailed it! I present to you my 4th blogiversary custom with Ellagee, Sea of Tranquility!
Sea of Tranquility
Three coats plus top coat
Sea of Tranquility is a dark cyan jelly polish loaded with sea foam green and coppery flakes. I really love jelly polishes, and I am so excited about this one! I have is swatched here over my bare nails, so against my olive skin tone, it is leaning greener on me than it is in the bottle. While I adore the bluer version in the bottle, I'm going crazy (in a good way, of course) for this greener look! My nails look like turquoise! This is a great shade because you can wear it straight from the bottle or layered over another colour to make it lean more blue or more green. It's like getting three polishes in one!
I was really happy with the formula of Sea of Tranquility. It applied so smoothly and effortlessly for me. I can get lost staring into this flake-filled beauty!
Sea of Tranquility does not currently have a specific release date; however, it IS going to be part of an Ellagee collection releasing soon. I cannot give away any more details than that, but trust me, it's going to be a fabulous collection! There are other beautiful Ellagee shades available on the website here to choose from until this is available. Keep you eye on the Ellagee Facebook page to find out when this will launch and other shop details!
Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful day and a fantastic weekend!
