Happy Saturday, dear readers, and for those that celebrate, merry Christmas Eve! It's been a pretty quiet day around here as we've already finished our holiday shopping and all but one gift is wrapped. I've gotta wait until the littles go down to sleep tonight since it is for them. Since it is the weekend, I was able to get more than just mascara and lipstick on my face today! Woohoo! I'm pretty happy with how my makeup turned out, so I thought I'd write up a quick post to share my face of the day (FOTD). Check it out!
I'm still trying to grow my hair out since it was cut far too short last time, and while it's slowing getting the overall shape I want, it's definitely in an awkward stage. At least my makeup looks good! Let's go from the top down, shall we? My eyebrows were put into place using the Full Brow lineup that I shared on my blog previously. The brow powder, wax, and highlighter are seriously amazing, and it's all I've been using since receiving my test samples!
For my eyes, I used a three-colour shadow palette by NYX Cosmetics that was created exclusively for Ipsy. I got rid of my Ipsy subscription after far too many disappointing bags, but this eyeshadow palette is one of the items I kept and still use. I also used my Bellimisa Masterful Eyes Mascara, reviewed here, to finish the look.
I've recently got into LipSense thanks to fellow blogger Anne from Betty's Beauty Bombs. It has a little bit of a learning curve to get it to apply properly, and I've been playing around with mixing colours. If you aren't familiar with LipSense, you apply 3 coats of colour, letting it dry completely between coats. Today's combination uses one coat of Napa followed by two coats of Spice Ice. I then added a coat of Glossy Gloss until I can get my hands on the matte topper. I'm totally in love with this lip colour combination! Anne is also a distributor, so if you're interested in trying out one of of these fabulous long-lasting shades, you can check her out here. This is NOT any sort of affiliate link, and I am only including this since she's the one that got me into the product and my personal supplier. And yes, beware of addiction!
Also in today's FOTD is the gorgeous neutral gold highlighter Fairies Breath from Beauty Escape Cosmetics. It's a new-to-me brand, and I'm looking forward to trying out more!
That's all I have for today, dear readers, and I'm wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday weekend!
Until next time, dear readers, have a fabulous day!
