Happy Fridays, dear readers! I hope you're ready for the Christmas holiday if you celebrate! If you're not ready, get off this post and finish up your shopping, ha! I created a nail art look that's all about.....presents! Check it out!
Ya'll Red-Y For This? (China Glaze)? You're up Late Nights (Squishy Face Polish) a Pearl Jammin' (China Glaze) while you're wrapping new Combat Blue-ts (China Glaze) for your little Fresh Prince-ss (China Glaze). The paper is Crimson (Celestial Polish for Color4Nails stamping polish) and covered with Silver Bells (Girly Bits Cosmetics Stamping Polish) and when you're just about done....Oops! You ran out of tape!
The individual presents came from the UberChic Beauty Christmas-01 stamping plate.
I used an image from the Christmas 2014 Cici&Sisi stamping plate for this present stack. It's a cute image, but the application was pretty brutal. All the open squares yielded pits in the polish if I used my usual swipe on the edge and spread in method, and I had to fill the full image fully and be very careful when swiping so as to not create pitting but still remove enough of the excess polish so I didn't end up with a polish blob on my stamping head. I managed to make it work, but it took me 3 to 4 tries per polish just for this one nail.
This is not exactly how I envisioned this design, and if I'm being honest, I'm not fond of the final look. It doesn't help that I managed to put the present decal on my index finger backwards so all the details were lost. Boo hiss! The presents also really took away from the gorgeous base shade so I was a little disappointed by that. Can't win them all, right?
Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful holiday weekend!
