TGIF, dear readers! And what a Friday it is! It's no secret that I have a sweet tooth, and I especially love ice cream, especially now that the days are getting warmer! Friday afternoons is also special outing time with my oldest child, and we occasionally stop by our local Baskin Robbins for a delicious ice cream cone. Known for its 31 flavors, Baskin Robbins is celebrating its 31 flavors today, the 31st of March, with a special promotion! Baskin Robbins will be serving regular and kids size scoops for only $1.50 at participating stores nationwide. They had a similar "Celebrate 31" promotion throughout 2016, with scoops of ice cream costing only $1.31, and I may have enjoyed it a few times. I have recently received ice cream themed water decals, and I couldn't think of a more perfect day to wear them. Let's check it out!
These decals are just too adorable for words! I was originally planning on a more complex look, but in the end, I decided to keep my look simple and let the water decals enjoy their time in the spotlight. Each of the ice cream swirls have an adorable facial expression, and while I'm not particular crazy about emojis, I must admit I can be down with emojis if they come in this form!
To create this look, I started off with Londontown Invisible Crown as my base for the water decals. This polish is a very pale pink and very sheer; I didn't realize quite how sheer it was when I selected it for my base and ended up needing to use four coats for opacity. Needless to say, I was commited to using this polish! I then added the ice cream decals that I picked up from Born Pretty Store here. I used Londontown Londoner Love for an extra punch of colour on my nails. This red is so smooth and yielded full coverage in two coats.
This design was so easy to create and it is the perfect nail art design for when I go out for ice cream later today! Now to narrow down which flavor I want today....
Do you have a favorite Baskin Robbins flavor? Do you ever match your nails to your dessert? I'd love to hear from you!
Until next time, dear readers, have a wonderful day and weekend!
