Greetings, dear readers! It has been an intense week around here, and as much as I wish things were resolved, the wildfires here in Northern California are still burning. We continue to have evacuations, and shockingly, I am sitting at home writing this post. This can definitely change in an instant, especially with the winds we have tonight, but we have some clothing and important documents packed and ready to go if necessary. With so much still up in the air, this may be the last blog post I publish for a little while, but I did want to get this up for you.
One of the most sought after nail polish by polish fans is a true white holographic polish. Due to the silvery pigmentation of the holographic materials, it has become quite the holy grail product! While not a single product, I am ecstatic to report that Ellagee has created the Heavenly Duo to give you a pure white holographic finish on your fingertips! I'm sure you are hearing angels sing right now! This duo consists of two polishes (naturally) that are meant to be layered to create the effect. The first layer is Angel Kisses.
Angel Kisses is a beautiful white crelly polish filled with iridescent sparkles. The formula of this polish has a great thickness that isn't too thick or thin for my preference but the application is a little uneven. This is something commonly seen in white shades, and although it was a little trickier to work with, I still managed to get a nice finish in the end. I used three coats to reach opacity on my nails. The finish was still the slightest bit uneven, and I added a layer of top coat to finish smoothing out my nails.
One you have Angel Kisses in place, you then follow up with Halo.
Angel Kisses + Halo
Halo is a lovely silvered topper with a fantastic holographic finish. The formula is fantastic and allowed for the single thin coat that I used for these photos. You can add more of Halo for a stronger holographic effect although you will end up with a pale grey hue. If you really want your nails to be white, it is best to stick with just one thin coat.
The Heavenly Duo with be launching at The Indie Shop San Antonio this Friday, October 13th and online at ellagee.com. These polishes will be sold as a set only, and they will retail for $14 for the pair.
Speaking of The Indie Shop, I have the exclusives from that to share with you as well! If you're going to be attending the show in San Antonio, you'll want to get your hands on the show exclusive shade!
A Ghoul's Best Friend
A Ghoul's Best Friend is described as a bright candy purple linear holo with hot pink and turquoise micro flakes. The formula is perfection and this beauty applies like a dream! I have it shown here with two coats plus top coat. Those that tend to apply with thinner coats may need to apply a third coat to cover visible nail line. Again, this shade is an exclusive to this Friday's The Indie Shop San Antonio, so if you want to get this baby, you'll have to attend or find someone else going that can pick this up for you.
In addition to the show exclusive that will be available to the public, I also have the polish that will be included in the VIP bags. Since I know a lot of people like to be surprised with what's in the VIP bag, I don't want to spoil the fun for you.
If you would like to know more about this particular polish, as well as see the swatch photos in color, you'll have to visit my photo album here. All I'm going to say is The Indie Shop attendees that purchased the early VIP entrance with a VIP bag are going to be very pleased with this polish. It is exquisite!
And that, dear readers, concludes this evening's blog post! Do you have any favorite shades from this blog post? Will you be picking up the white Heavenly Duo? Are you going to be attending The Indie Shop San Antonio? I'd love to hear from you!
Until next time, dear readers, have a good night!
